As a result of control measures carried out by the employees of the State Customs Committee, a large quantity of narcotic substance was detected and taken out of illegal circulation.
Medianews.az reports that, according to the committee, at the "Astara" customs post, a cargo vehicle carrying "fresh cauliflower" in transit from Iran to Russia was inspected. The vehicle was subjected to a detailed examination using a stationary X-ray device and service dogs.
During the inspection, narcotic substances hidden in 160 packages located in one of the pallets inside the cargo were discovered. The packages, which resembled cauliflower in appearance, contained dried marijuana with a total net weight of 90 kilograms and 945 grams.
An investigation is underway regarding the case, and all details of the incident are being examined.
