In Turkey, a 26-year-old courier was trapped under a truck (TIR) as a result of a collision.
Medianews.az reports that the incident occurred on February 4 in Adana.
Emergency medical workers called to the scene rescued the courier safely and transported him to the hospital. The motorcycle driver, Mesut Aldanma, did not sustain serious injuries thanks to his helmet and other protective gear and survived with only minor bruises.
He described the moments he experienced as follows: “While being dragged, I was face to face with the asphalt. When I opened my eyes, my family and friends came to mind. My entire life flashed before my eyes like a movie reel. I strongly recommend all motorcyclists to definitely use protective equipment.”
Mesut Aldanma stated that the truck driver did not see him in time, but in many cases it is possible to survive the severe consequences of accidents precisely thanks to protective equipment.
