A court case has begun regarding a horrific fire incident in Yasamal that resulted in the deaths of three people, including one child. During the first hearing, the parties' motions were heard, and the criminal case was set for trial.
Medianews.az, citing qafqazinfo, reports that the multi-storey residential building suffered a total damage of 419,318 manats as a result of the incident. The majority of that damage—351,897 manats—has been paid by Bahruz Pashayev, who is currently the accused. This fact has been considered a mitigating circumstance in the criminal case. The case files also include the amount of material damage suffered by lawyer Ali Gambarov, who lost his child in the fire. The documents state that the damage he incurred amounts to 8,744 manats.
It should be noted that the main court hearing for this case is scheduled for July 30.
At that hearing, the prosecutor will announce the indictment.
