An Appeals Commission will operate at the SEC to review applications related to exam results. Those wishing to apply to the Appeals Commission can register by filling out an electronic application on the SEC website from 10:00 on June 18 to 17:00 on June 20. Applicants who do not register within this period will not be able to apply to the Appeals Commission later. In the electronic application, the question number about which the appeal is made must be selected, the content of the appeal must be written, and the specific evaluation criterion on which it is based must be indicated. If the content of the appeal is not specified in the electronic application, the application will not be accepted and that appeal will not be reviewed. The appeals process proceeds in the following sequence:

The Appeals Commission examines all works subject to appeal;

The expert opinion (in writing) on the questions appealed by the applicants is attached to the appeals applications;

An SMS is sent to the phone number indicated in the applicants’ appeal applications informing them about the completion of the appeals process.

After this, applicants can access their applications on the website apelyasiya.dim.gov.az, view the results of the appeal, and print the expert opinion from there.

Appeals related to answers marked in a manner inconsistent with the instructions on the answer sheet, including corrections that cause the optical device to consider the answer incorrect (for example, shading two circles in a closed question, etc.), will not be considered.

Before applying to the Appeals Commission, applicants can review their results, graphical representation of the answer sheet, and evaluation criteria for each open-ended question on the SEC website’s exam results page. Experience from previous exams shows that approximately 15% of applicants who submitted appeals did not answer the question at all or compared their own answer with the possible correct answers and evaluation scale without familiarizing themselves before appealing to the commission. Applicants are hereby informed that such appeals will not be considered.
