On May 19, a barrel of Azerbaijani oil branded as "AzeriLight" is sold for 118.16 dollars.
Medianews.az reports that this is an indicator 53.16 dollars above the budget price.
In Azerbaijan's 2026 budget, a barrel of oil is taken at 65 dollars; "AzeriLight" started January at 65.71, February at 69.72, March at 79.60, April at 132.35, and May at 122.26 dollars.
Oil has become more expensive since February 28 amid rising tensions between the USA, Israel, and Iran.
In the first four months of 2026, 4.3 billion dollars worth of crude oil and crude oil products were exported from Azerbaijan.
