Diplomats called up for military service will be able to receive allowance

New compensations and privileges are being established for diplomats called to military service.
According to Medianews.az, this was discussed at today's meeting of the National Assembly's Committee on International Relations and Interparliamentary Relations, reflected in the proposed new Articles 13.14-1 and 13.14-2 to the "Diplomatic Service" law.
According to the document, a diplomatic service employee whose service has been terminated due to conscription for fixed-term active military or alternative service will be paid a compensation amounting to three times their average monthly state salary. Except in cases of the dissolution of the diplomatic service agency, persons who served in a diplomatic position prior to being conscripted for fixed-term active military service, if they apply to resume their previous diplomatic position within a maximum of 60 calendar days after being released from military service, will be appointed to their previous or an equivalent position in the agency.
