Vefa Mustafayev, an active member of the Azerbaijani diaspora in France and a well-known scholar, has passed away.
Medianews.az, citing Publika.az, reports that he died at the age of 88.
It should be noted that Vefa Mustafayev, born in Baku in 1938, received his secondary and higher education in his hometown. Later, our compatriot who moved to France actively participated in diaspora activities there, carrying out consistent and purposeful work in promoting Azerbaijani truths and protecting our national and spiritual values.
Vefa Mustafayev worked for many years at UNESCO's headquarters in Paris, serving as the head of the organization's Asia department and as a project coordinator. He made significant contributions to introducing young Azerbaijani talents on UNESCO platforms, strengthening relations between our country and UNESCO, and developing the scientific diaspora.
