The procedure for interviewing students who wish to receive education in another language based on state standards at state general education institutions has been approved.
"Trend" reports that the rules also reflect the criteria on which the interview for admission to the first grade will be evaluated.
Thus, during the interview for admission to the first grade, the child's level of knowledge of the language of instruction will be assessed based on the following criteria:
Listening and comprehension skills
The child should listen to and complete simple tasks, listen to a short text (consisting of 3-5 sentences), answer questions, listen carefully to the question, and provide an appropriate answer.
Coherent speaking skills
The child should introduce themselves, talk about their family and homeland, and construct simple sentences based on pictures.
Vocabulary
The child should correctly name objects, recognize general concepts such as names of animals, plants, fruits and vegetables, and professions, use descriptive words (name colors, know words indicating size and quality), and describe events occurring in the surrounding environment and seasonal changes in nature.
Understanding and pronunciation of letters and sounds
The child should form words from sounds, recognize letters by their form (uppercase and lowercase), associate the sound heard in speech with the corresponding letter, and pronounce words clearly.
Note that the total scores given by the Commission members are summed and divided by the number of commission members to determine the final score. Students who have scored 12 or more points in the interview are considered to have passed successfully. The interview results are sent to the electronic cabinet within five working days from the date it was conducted.
