If you start the day tired and feel your energy rapidly decreasing around noon, do not consider this as ordinary fatigue.
Medianews.az reports that persistent weakness can be an early sign of serious health problems.
Internal diseases specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rıdvan Sivritepe states that weakness is not a disease by itself, but it can be the first symptom of anemia, thyroid disorders, diabetes, vitamin-mineral deficiencies, and chronic infections. According to him, long-term fatigue must definitely be medically examined.
The doctor gives 5 main recommendations to increase energy:
1. Check your blood tests
Iron, B12, and vitamin D deficiencies are the most common and treatable causes of weakness. Food supplements should only be taken based on test results.
2. Regulate your sleep schedule
Staying in front of screens until late hours and irregular sleep cause fatigue throughout the day. Going to bed and waking up at the same time every day restores the biological rhythm.
3. Eat a balanced diet
Foods rich in simple carbohydrates lead to rapid drops in energy. A diet rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats keeps energy levels stable.
4. Do not stay inactive
Light and regular physical activity increases energy production. Even brisk walking at least 3 times a week has a positive effect.
5. Investigate the cause
If weakness is persistent, it is important to consult a doctor instead of taking vitamins on your own. Treatment should be planned individually.
Experts emphasize that timely evaluating the body's signals is a fundamental condition for a healthy life.
